Bringing together the mutual adventures of several friend-associates since 1998, Terra Group is a tour operator, a network of travel agencies, operating throughout Latin America (and South America).

Over the years, we have become recognized as specialists in tourism and professionals in the area of individual and a la carte (tailor-made) trip, group trips, incentive and seminars organization. This versatility also allows us to use our knowledge in other areas connected to travel: reports, editing of travel guides, photography, events, adventure travel, extraordinary trips (like crossing the continent), and actions in the area of responsible tourism.
We are committed to a diverse range of activity built around the same theme – travel in Latin America, both stimulating us personally as much as creating a synergy between our different activities.
«To root out information» for these reports we are driven to explore unknown regions, generating new contacts, giving birth to innovative ideas … which are developed to produce tourist programs (and vice versa).

HISTORY OF TERRA GROUP, 13 YEARS OF PASSION FOR LATIN AMERICA ...

On 1998 Fabrice Pawlak founded Terra Andina, first element of the future Terra Group company. He partners with Pierre Boyer, a student friend .... It was then the beginning of the internet, and the tailored travel industry.
Gradually, the agency develops itself in Bolivia and many customers coming from Peru suggested the two partners to create a second structure in Lima (2001) ... Cross countries tours become the key of the success of the future Terra Group and soon, the team is expanding and allows new partners to open other agencies in Brazil, Argentina etc ... In 12 years of existence, Terra Group has become a network of receptive travel agencies operating trips throughout Latin America.

Initially specialized in adventure (trekking, mountaineering, 4WD expeditions), logistics (TV production, incentives, events), and especially tailored made travels were added to complete our fields of action.

Today, this versatility allows us to express our expertise in areas related to the travel industry: reports, tourist guides, photography, events, adventure trips, and exceptional travels (such as crossing the continent), and actions for responsible tourism.

QUALITY, AT THE BEST PRICE WITH COMPLETE SECURITY

Our commercial strategy is centered on quality of service. In our different agencies, the managers, the operations director and the commercial, are all working from ground level. They are professional, tri-linguists and experienced in modern methods of work. This is one of the strongest points of our structure, and our contacts appreciate our willingness to recognize and advocate quality. This is expressed as much in the construction of programs (quick precise response, in the language of our operators) as in our operations (emphasis laid on security).
Our offices take care of their own logistics (equipment/materials/ necessities) and of the wide network of correspondents for particular areas of operation (Amazon/ Pantanal / the Andes).

This requirement for quality does not limit itself solely to a capacity to operate a successful tourist program;
it is accompanied by competitive prices according to the level of comfort desired.
This competition takes place partly during negotiations that take place with local operators (hotels, transport, guides, flights etc.) and is partly due to our aim to operate services ourselves as often as possible, without intermediaries.

- to limit accumulation of extra commissions being charged
- to shorten the chain of communication and thus improve direct control of our operations
- to conserve our strength in proposals and innovations.

Each agency performs spontaneously several annual reconnaissance to new areas. These trips, juxtaposed with our active participation in media operations (TV reports, book publishing, newspapers, tourist guides) lead to a renewed understanding of the countries we operate, and a proven ability to offer new routes.

GEOGRAPHIC DEPLOYMENT:

Our physical presence is now established almost continuously from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego. We wanted this geographic expansion to gain the ability to organize competitively transnational stays, and combined major crossings of the continent.
Our offices (14 offices operating in 2011 - Rio, Bariloche, Buenos Aires, Valpairaiso, La Paz, Uyuni, Cuzco, Lima, Merida, Panama City, San Jose, Quito, and Pucon San Pedro de Atacama), have a own logistics and an extensive network of partners in areas of operation (Amazon / Pantanal / isolated Cordillera / Antarctica).

RESPONSIBLE TOURISM :

Our practical policy of responsible tourism gives us a motivation of our seamless field staff and local communities we work with (Read paragraphs ad hoc)

COMMUNICATION :

Professional requests, excluding weekends, are, without exception, treated within 24 hours by a trilingual speaker with specialist knowledge of costs, sites and operations.

Our respective professional websites are updated constantly and contain most of the tours we offer. They allow our tour operator customers to draw from ideas of circuits / modules, descriptive texts and pictures into their records circuits.

Our agencies are in constant contact with each other and with our partners (via MSN Messenger, Skype, special telephone number at the cost of a local call).

MOTIVATION :

Our business model is based on the gradual opening of capital of the company (8 associates in 2008) and on a bonus system. In addition, Terra invests in training its field staff. This model directly affects the motivation of our teams.

TECHNOLOGIE :

Terra Group has developed a technology uni, Terrasoft, which develops software dedicated to the business of receptive agencies. The software TOOGO is a solution that optimizes qualitatively our daily work. It will be available soon for our corporate clients.
